		<description>Some other things about blogs is that they make it easy to add additional information down the road.  You could have a blog that&#039;s not updated very often, making it just about the same as a normal, static website.
But people are looking for new, updated info too...for just about any topic.  Having a frequently updated site also helps position you as an expert on that topic.  Presumably, if you can continue to write about a topic over time, you must be serious about it and have some sort of expertise to offer.
Ranking for long tail keywords is also useful but isn&#039;t a silver bullet.  You may only get a few visitors for some random long tail keyword, but if you have a large site full of useful content, those one-off visitors can add up over time.
Just a few thoughts.
