My Experience Using Textbroker

textbrokerI’ve been meaning to do a quick update with my thoughts on www.TextBroker.com.  I started using this service a couple of weeks back for some of my content creation on a few affiliate sites I have.  And I have to say, I found their service a breeze to use and in the end, I wound up with some super quality content in minimal time with minimal cost.  Here are the details.

Finding a Writer

TextBroker allows you to choose writers two different ways…(1) choose an individual writer or (2) simply offer your writing project to the masses of writers that are members of the site (around 23,000 in the USA, according to them).  I went with option #2 since I was brand new to the site and didn’t know any writers.  But even when you choose that option, you can select what level of writing quality you want.  I chose pretty high quality, which affected the price, but it was well worth it.

Turnaround Time

Of course your mileage may vary, but I got my articles back in about a day or so.  Actually a little bit less, but I didn’t have time to review them until the next day.  Bottom line is that you can expect a pretty quick turnaround.  In fact, in a recent email, they said they’ve put a lot of effort into attracting more and more writers to their service – hence the 23,000 that they have on board right now.  And of course, you can request a rewrite if an article just isn’t up to par with what you were expecting.

I had two orders initially…a smaller order to test the writer(s) and then a larger order that would take care of what I needed for the site in question.  I say “writers(s)” because you never know how many people are going to respond to your articles.  As I understand it, multiple writers can choose to write your articles.  So for a pack of 10 articles, you may have 2, 3, or more writers.  In my case, they were all done by the same guy.  Depending on how it works when you place your order, that could affect your turnaround time and your cost.  Speaking of which…

Cost

The pricing was a little different between the fist order (a writing request to the entire list of writers) and the second order (a writing request sent directly to the person who wrote the first batch of articles).

The cost?

$4.65 and $4.84 per article.  Yeah…NICE!

Like I said, the price varied for each order…I think the higher price was for the order sent directly to the writer)

Final Thoughts

I’ll keep it short and sweet.  From my experience, I found TextBroker to be a great service, with fast turnaround and killer prices.  If you need affordable, well-written content for your sites and want a great service to outsource to, give Textbroker a shot and see for yourself.

Whooaaa!! Looks like my content generation problem is no more a big deal. I have dealt with several freelance websites and this is something new and exclusive for content and articles. I think the open order at textbroker will work for me like a charm :) The most beautiful part is that all the articles generated are checked for plagiarism @ copyscape. Yes, i indeed checked their FAQs. Thanks for letting us know the existence of this great website. Will keep you posted.

    Thanks!

  2. I found TextBroker a week or so ago and signed up to be a writer and have yet to hear from them.
As a writer, i find the prices they pay are a little to low for my tastes, but when business is slow in other areas I was willing to blast 5-10 articles a day for them.
Seems like they are not hiring at the moment so I guess i will continue looking for work elsewhere. Personally I believe a reasonably well written article between 400-500 words is worth $7-10 if the writer has to do any research at all because research takes time that the writer could be writing during.
I am glad to see someone enjoys the service though, maybe work load will increase and need for writers will increase as well.

Creating content seems to be really time consuming for me. I have tried hiring writers outside the states before but usually the grammer ends up being terrible.

  5. Found the site interesting. As there are others who would like to sign up as authors but lived in a different country, would that be possible? Some people in other parts of the world might have any other ideas about what you want them to write about most especially if its travel and tours or possibly their own culture.

As a writer I have found that there are some out there who are willing to pay for quality content. These people may try a place like textbroker but in the end they will end up finding someone like me.

Wow. I’d seen copy writing for $10 a page and thought that was pretty good. It’s hard to argue with ghost writing for less than $5 per page, especially if it has been checked for duplicate content.

  8. @medifast. I think you should try having a trial before you actually hire that particular person. Since content is what matters, you’ll be able to judge whether he or she passed your qualifications. There are also good writers out here. Though finding them is like filtering all of them in order to have a good outcome.

  9. Being able to pay higher amount would less likely mean having a good writing quality. Unless you’ve never had the chance to give that person a trial article before paying him or her. BTW, the site you’ve given is good. I’ve bookmarked it already. It might come in handy one of these days.

  10. I was able to check the site and it’s cool. There are many people actually looking for a job and those who know how to write an article may be given a chance to do so. Provided they know what they’re doing and the cost is equal to the value of the article.

Yes, I’ve also had a possitive experience with text broker. Out of say 15 articles, I only found one that I wanted re-written.

  14. don from Las Vegas Real Estate says:

Nice. Sounds interesting. I also didn’t know it was so cheap. : /

I think writing quality has to do with the person more than the price lol

  15. Bob from Christian Marriage Help says:

Dang, those prices are pretty good. I bet you it pays off if you are a writer too though!

  16. Joel from hgh says:

Never tried or ever hear about them. Is it sort of freelancer site? Just like elance or Guru?

  17. TB 5-StarAuthor says:

I’m a five-star writer for Textbroker. I’ve been a published author (legit, not self-published or via a vanity press) for twenty years. One of the great things about TB is that regardless of other writing credits, no one…NO one…comes in higher than a four-star author. Those 105-ish five-star writers of the over 24,000 registered “writers” earn that higher ranking, and TB has a very, very high editorial standard; we’re hand-picked.

The price clients pay is completely under their control: TB has set price-per-word requirements according the skill level of the ordered text–set by the client. Minimal price per word in OpenOrders for two-star writers is half what four-star writers get paid. Five-star writers, those who are truly professional, earn five-cents-per word.

Direct Orders, those not in the “first come, first serve” “grab bag per skill level” start at higher rates, and that per-word minimum is set by Textbroker. Yes, the DO rate can be set higher by the individual author, but for high quality, well-researched, original content to which the client owns full rights upon payment, isn’t it worth a few pennies per word?

Either way–via the Open Order route or the Direct Order with a specific author–TB is THE most reliable freelance site I’ve had the pleasure of dipping my quill for.

Not only is the text submitted for review tested against CopyScape, the editors can–and often do!–manually review and double-check any questionable or borderline content even before the client gets to read it.

(And no, this isn’t a solicitation for placements with me, but to prove that I am a TB 5-star, my author number is A-035348.)

The price per article seems very low cost. What kind of benefit are you seeming long term now?
