Open Question Time With James Brausch

For those of you that don’t know, James Brausch is a succesful online business owner and runs an internet business blog where he covers several aspects of creating and running an online business.  However, unlike so many others in this market, James advocates (if not DEMANDS…lol) that you create a "Freedom Business" that can actually run without your input, rather than just another J-O-B.  That’s a key point that many others pay lip service to, but don’t really offer much in the way of showing you exactly how to do it.

Every once in awhile James opens up the blog for questions and this time he’s taking questions about any topic related to building an internet business. My question has to do with the idea of a "Freedom Business" which I just described, so here we go…

James, over the past 12 – 18 months it seems that you’ve continued to decrease the amount of time you actually have to spend on the business that this blog is a part of, in keeping with the idea of building a "Freedom Business" which you continue to encourage us to do.  In doing this, some tasks have been outsourced to employees, interns, etc.

So the question is:
Which tasks have you decided to still do yourself and why?

Are those tasks high-leverage, too sensitive to outsource, or simply the parts of the business that you enjoy the most (or perhaps there’s some other reason)?  I think the rest of us might end up with slightly different results in terms of what tasks we hold on to (based on our skill sets, etc.) as we build our own businesses, but knowing what types of things you’ve decided NOT to outsource could at least give us an idea of what we should consider.

Thanks,

Kenton Newby
